dog fox 16 Posted February 9, 2010 Report Share Posted February 9, 2010 (edited) rough you should try windermere over the summer months (night fishing) the pike tend to go mad in the summer in there ,have had some nice fish out of there and seen some even bigger(30lbers) in the morning cruising the margins ,if you go round back of lake to the wray castle side and follow little road down to a car park were you can fish from the bank with the ledge in casting distance ...had some cracking nights down there and some good fighting fish ,i can honastly say the summer pike of windermere fight better than any were else ive fished for them ,ive seen bait runners nearly stripped of there line and its free fishing too Edited February 9, 2010 by dog fox Quote Link to post

dog fox 16 Posted February 9, 2010 Report Share Posted February 9, 2010 Cheers pal will have a session there in the next few weeks if the place is open or is it public open lake Google earth is good for mooching new areas/lakes think i will have a mooch it used to have jet ski,s and speed boats flying all over the place and was a nightmere but they stopped all of this with a 5 mph speed limit so you get the ferry passing bye now and again and the odd rowing boat and fishing boat ,but its now a much better place to fish ,dont no about cloed seasons though on pike i think you can fish all year round but better check first Quote Link to post
