Deker 3,478
For some reason I am getting it into my head to buy one of these, Bushnell Elite 6500 4.5-30x50 Mildot.. Does anyone own or have first hand experience of any of the 6500 range or specifically this one of course. Your views, good, bad or whatever appreciated. Cheers Quote Link to post
mattydski 560
Have shot its smaller brother on a Barnard 308, very good glass. I did consider on my self before my latest Zeiss and leupold purchases. I am shooting it again on Sunday I'll check with its owner for any caveats. Quote Link to post
danebrewer10 6
I haven't had any experience of them myself, - here's a review of it's smaller brother on gunmart http://gunmart.net/accessories_review/bushnell_elite_6500_2.5-16x42/ DB 1 Quote Link to post
firepower 68
Not that particular one but I have a 3-9x40 Dusk till Dawn one on my .243, could do with a slightly higher magnification for 200+ shots but the optics are spot on Quote Link to post
jamie g 17
i have shot a sako quad hmr with one on deker. very nice and good glass. abit foggy on anything over 20 mag i found and not keen on the mildot recticl. if it was the normal 30/30 rectial then i would have one. but for the cash new you could get a zeiss conquest. SEAN3513 7
just to add glass is excellent and as stated a bit cloudy at high mag...............and i found the eye releif poor when on the lamp. cheers sean Quote Link to post
Mr_Logic 5
Excellent glass is not cloudy at high mag... Personally for the money I think there are better scopes to be had - Bushnell's 4200 series is better VFM IMHO - similar glass without the massive mag range, and much cheaper. Quote Link to post
theinvisiblescarecrow 0
I've got the smaller 42mm version & rate it highly. Not lamped with it yet though. A friend come around the other day & looked through a few scopes & prefered his AGS 3-9x40 scope over the 6500, WTC & EB 10x42 ????? Quote Link to post
jamie g 17
its really hard to see what a scope is like just buy looking thorugh two. it only when you have used it for a bit then gone back to the other that you see difference. of course this dont help as you can take one from a shop for a couple of months then take it back lol Quote Link to post
jnw010 0
I've got the 2.5 to 16 x42 with the mildot reticule and I've got no complaints. Glass is clear with a sharp image, and overall it seems well put together. Quote Link to post
