Bordatella? The New (vetinary) Religion, mate

Let ye Dog near a vet, these days, and they want it's balls off and " Is he vaccinated against Bordatella??? ".

Kennel Girls had the right idea. Bit of garlic's also said to help. But, basicly? Isolate the sufferers and let it run its course. That's always been the way. Just don't walk him down the high st and let him give it to every other poor bugger.

Hi mate,

Ditch is bang on mate, as were those kennel girls. Benylin is the dogs for helping kennel cough run its course, really sooths them. My dad's pup caught it (he was a rescue) and I advised the same - keep him indoors, no contact with dogs, don't go near dogs yourself for a bit (carrying the germ), and give him the kid's dose of benylin until it clears up.

Works a charm :good:

YEs I had a dog with kennel cough, caught it in a boarding kennels,I asked my greyhound vet about remedies ,he said there are so many strains its not worth having jabs [you can get nasal drops too],put him on benylin, and of course isolate him and dont get him anywhere near other dogs ,hope this helps Inan.

Cheers mate, took eveyones advice dosed her with belyn and isolated her. She cleared up within a week, unfortunaly every single dog i own and had in at the time caught it too, spread like wild fire so isolating them all was impossible. Few shots of beneyln later its dissapearing. Though i was kenneling sealions for a week or two haha

Guest oldskool

i always wash the kennels down with a very mild bleach,,, avoid anything with powerful fumes it causes irratation... the new jess fluid seems to be better than the old??? lots of fresh air, in my opinion, is as good as cure as any!
