steveS.Yorks 161
yea give it another season feed it kennel it all summer and have same prob next season pink head only fucks about with rat and rabbits no point kidding your self if its going in and finding thats the hardest part weather its 20 holes or 2 holes if she keeps comeing out and going back to the same spot and not staying i wouldnt keep her you keep giveing them chances you have a keenel full of shit Personally i would be going out with a dog thats 100% let the bitch watch the dig, when you break through to the dog block all ways for quarry to move put a garden fork in front of the bitch and let her in to bay as long as she stays, after 20 mins or so of this remove the fork and let the dog mix for a short time, after this find a nice shallow earth that is 100% holding net all holes and as soon as you hear her baying try to get down asap and let the bitch know you are comming to get her,it seems to me as if the dog hasnt been dug to at all and is leaving the quarry looking for her gaffa (YOU) the dog is still young some dont start till 3yrs and some of these dogs are the best around,be patient mate! Give the fork a try ive heard of alot of people doing this ro bring pups on with no bad contact for first dig or 2,if she goes in too hard she could jack straight away, with the fork there and the dog taking a nip or two will teach your dog some manners! Just get to her as fast as you can on your next dig! Good luck and let us know if you try this method and how the dog gets on! Genuine I know you mean well but all that post says is "i dont know what the hell im doing either" lack of real experiance with bringing on terriers, stands out a mile. Ps the "fork" method breaks the "baiting laws" a hefty prison sentance could be handed out for this, not to mention giving the antis more ammunition,if you want to discuss why this post is rubbish sensibly fine,if you want to call me an arsehole/wanker fine, stay in the dark. The part about some dogs not starting until around 3yrs and making very good dogs is perfectly true. Quote Link to post
