mixing patterdale with bull

Recommended Posts

hi,

does`nt the patterdale already have bull blood in it?

if yours is a good working one,why dont you find another good working one and then breed them together!!!

in all honesty for a 100kg wild bore you would need a different type of dog altogether, not a patterdale cross.

this is only my opinion!

the spanish love this patterdale and want more of him,

Oh well , there is always the purists i suppose eh !

:thumbdown::thumbdown:

oh well, maybe one of the spanish is Lorena Guerrero, that great patterdale breeder that have been searching for male patt's to cross with her beautifull and extremely "worker" bitch.

After crossing with some schwab's blood she still is searching for more patterdale blood, when asked if the bitch worked, despite of her looks like a poomeranian dog certified by "PTCCC", she sent a photo of a rat killed!!!

man, one advice if you love patterdales and earthdog working don't be "amazed"...

i know some litters done in Spain, borderxsbt, jagdxebt, jagdxfoxterrier, apbtxcocker, jrtxsbt and jrtxebt in various places, etc.

big and strange dogs, to hard for working mainly killers!!!

i love the "purists" and i believe i'm one of them because they still want the dogs for their trully main purpose, working dogs! because of them there is still earthdogs capable of hard working the quarrys...

for hog hunting, in the iberia there is much better breeds for that kind of work.

do you think that a 90kg hog will be stopped by 4 tiny 10kg terriers?

there is some dogos crosses, bull and spanish hound crosses, perros de presa, etc.

best regards,

hi mate , yours has been the best info yet , and just to clear something up , it does not take a rocket scientist to work out that my dog will not come off to well to one of these local pigs, which is exactly what my point is , but being the dog he is , he aint gonna say ,"nah i will leave that, it looks a bit big" anyway much interested to find out more about this breeder, i will send you an email , catch you there, thanks for your input.

I had a StaffxPatt a few years ago, I didn't know anything about it's breeding but had it given to me so I thought I'd try it out and give it a chance. As things turned out it was the biggest gobshite of a dog I've ever had around me, a complete waste of space.

When it got excited it used to cry like you was kicking the daylights out of it and would piss all over the place.

F*cking thing.

That's not to say there's no decent Bull X Terriers out there, but he was a joke.

well said mate , fair comment, ive always been careful in my choice of dogs , but you know when you see something you like and think , i wouldnt mind some of that, that looks like the bollocks, only to be dissapointed in the end. we will see what happens and i will keep you informed. thanks for the input.
