Quickly turned around and walked home. Came back an hour later and the dick had stuck a fine to the windscreen. Think it was a giveaway as i had lamp, battery, locator and bins on the only passenger seat. But he doesnt know for certain i didnt have a wean, unless they look at cctv. e2000e2000e 0
Parking charges as the call them rely on an implied contract, by parking there you except the terms of parking there on the sign. They however need to prove it was you who parked there so you could deny it was you who was driving that day, who are not obliged to tell them who was driving like you are with speeding tickets and councial parking tickets. But if they do have CCTV they may have you bang to rights.
littlefish 585
Were you shopping in their store at the time or just using their car park?

Ratreeper 441
i got a parking ticket for parking in a field at night for a bit over and hour when walking my dog. I got a letter in the post 45 days later saying i forgot to pay, when that was the first i knew. So i used the space provided to mention this, and most importantly i asked for photo evidence i was there because 'as it was so long ago i can't remember where i was, or whom was driving at the time of the "offence" ' It worked
iamduvern 62
Why not park in a disabled space next time? I suppose it was to much to expect that you could possibly walk those few extra yards.

harrycatcat 31
I know someone who got a ticket in similar circumstances and he wrote and said they were persecuting him because of his race. They dropped it.

Ratreeper 441
Why not park in a disabled space next time? I suppose it was to much to expect that you could possibly walk those few extra yards. Have you EVER been to a car park where there wasn't an abundance of empty disabled spaces? Its just insanity, apart from scroungers on the doll who lie, if you believe the statistics about 50% of us are in some way disabled. Its just a poorly thought out guideline inforced to be PC. Think of it this way, why do shops like tesco need to be forced into it? They are savvy enough to provide parking to disabled customers to meet demand. If there was no law, then disabled people wouldn't suffer, the 'abled' would just benefit from being able to park. (ps i don't park in disabled bays, just think they shouldn't be so many)
