Hi all,

 

Here is a bit more footage from the scope camera today.

 

This time I have been using my lamping rifle (HW100KT).

 

I calibrated my mil dots first after fitting the high mounts prior to taking Dylan lamping for an hour or so.

 

We ended up with 3 shots and 3 bunnies.

Thanks Zini that and your other vids really make it easy to understand hopefully i can get some more permission that isn't so hard to get near the quarry,and get a clean kill with my 97k

and explained the hold under/over very well,was suprised on the power curve though of .22

although i have aas410k .22

me tinks i will have to come to yours with my .177 scopecam and calibrate and have a scopecam shoot off!

Yes you’re welcome to come up and calibrate your .177 in my range pal.

 

A scope camera shoot off sounds like fun mate.

 

I don’t know about you but I find it really hard to shoot with that scope camera.

 

I find it takes a lot more skill than just normal shooting mate.

 

Hi Shay the rifle is sorted now pal and will be making a staring role along with my new BSA Airsporter that I received today very shortly.

 

The Airsporter turned out to be a GL model which is a mark 6 model and in nice working order.

 

I am getting the stock sorted tomorrow (myself) and the rifle tuned by Sandwell Field sports for £65.

Hi Zini,

Good post as usual, one thing I found a bit strange was the pellet landing left of the bullseye in the 15 yard shots.. (2:11 mins)

Why is that? I thought that the horizontal axis once zero'd at any range would remain the same at any range. And that any errors made

zero'ing at lets say 20 yards, would be more emphasised at 50 yards if anything, not the other way round? Hope you can shed some light on this?

Yes Tony Wall has sorted my entire spring rifles up to date mate. He is the Master when it comes to gun tuning.

 

Saying that though I have just found another bloke in Yorkshire who his name was passed on to me yesterday by a gun shop in Richmond and he seems brilliant.

 

I spoke to him today in his workshop and he is doing all my work and threading my rifle for £60.

I don’t know why mate

 

I have asked and was told due to the rifling going to the right in the barrel you get something called pellet drift which is the pellet drifting right over distance due to being spun to the right fast.

 

I seem to have the same results in any rifle at close range buddy, the exact drift probably isn’t that much as was seen in the video footage as shooting through a scope camera is very hard to do so I probably wobbled 5 mm of that left hand side as seen

 

I also am a cr-p shot mate so that doesn’t help either when demonstrating on scope camera.

 

If you try and zero bang on at 10 metres and then move back to 30 metres you will still always have to not only adjust up / down but left / right.

 

Try it and see what happens for you.
