hi there i have my Weihrauch hw100(legal limit) is listed in the for sale section, A guy came to view it today and asked if he could fire a few rounds through it! so he fired a few shots at my shed at about 20 yards, he then went down the garden to inspect the shed and said he would'nt be buying it because it was faulty and that the pellet should have gone straight through the wood which is 1/2 inch thick. Can anybody tell me if this guy is dreaming or IS my gun under powered thanks

Thanks for the replies guys,i didnt think it was under powered but had to check so i went and had it chronographed today and its averaging just over 11 ft/lbs using there pellets and was informed by the guy who tested it that by using my heavier pellets this would push the power up to closer 12 ft/lb mark,

That’s true Longman,

Heavier pellets in a PCP do make the power up some what.

You don’t say what calibre your rifle is but even a .177 would find it hard to go through 13 mm of shed which are usually made either pressed woods such as chip board or pine at 20 yards.

They wouldn’t be far off going through though and after 5 or 6 well grouped shots would penetrate the shed easily.

I feel the bloke probably just either didn’t like the feel of the gun or he didn’t really have the money to pay for it.

i agree, the bloke doesn't know what he is talking about, i have a chrono beta and chrono printer and that is THE only way to check your rifles power. i mean wow, so many variables, distance, pellet weight, wood material, zini probably nailed it with didnt have the money just wanted a play..
