Stuart O Connor 1
So is this a qualifier for another show or just normal show ?
Johnny85 50
We are in the middle of getting an earth dog running dog qualifier, same as last year. We do not like to be cocky or sound stupid, but We hope that this is not a normal show. Like every year, this year we hope to run a great day out for working dogs and their owners. We have added the falconry display to add some variety for the crowd. But our main aim, as before is to organise a great day for hunting men of all forms to come and enjoy their day. All money made on the day goes straight back into hunting and the defending of the sport. Our own friends and supporters from Kilkenny and the Waterford lads, do this for the goodness of sport. So I hope that we will have a great day, with good working animals on display. Good hunting for the rest of the season. See you all Sunday May 2nd. Johnny85

Johnny85 50
Just To update everyone We have confirmed our all our judges. The terriers and lurchers are being judged by two good lads we are bringing over from Wales. The hounds will be judged by a good friend of ours who hunts a very good pack of hounds. Wehave confirmed our usual venue. So all on track for a good day. we just hope know thee weather is good and that all the doggy men turn up. Good Hunting For rest of the season Johnny 85 Is there noone over here, that can judge a dog, or have they been all shipped to the UK to judge over there, because at the end of the day its only a bit of craic, their must be one honest Irishman left on these shores.. Casso, Yes of course there are. There are many many honest good Irish men who can judge. We have had Irish judges every other year. Surely where the judge is from does not matter. However last summer we brought hounds and terriers to many shows where too many lads were stood around the ringside saying "the judge owns the winner", or "that guy came with the judge to the show". Who ever you suggest in the doggy world here someone will know them or be friends with them. With an Irish judge generally you would prefer that none of his breed or his friends would show. By getting a Welsh man it gets rid of this problem. Also yes of course it is a bit of fun, a way of filling the summer. But also for all those lads who turn up hoping to win with their dog, we must put some thought into the judge. It is good for sporting relations also to make some new friends from other areas of the world. It was a cork man who judged the Welsh Game Fair a few years ago. I do hope that the judge selection has not offended you. We just try our best to make a good trouble free day out for doggy men of all shapes and forms. Johnny85 50
Just confirmed we will host a qualifier for The Earth Dog Running Dog Show. So same as last year the Terrier and Lurcher Champions will qualify for this show.
scent 509
last year a few of the dublin lads judged the terrier class and done a mighty job on picking proper working terriers .I think johnny has gotten a few welsh lads over so there can be no one complaining that the man got judged and not the dog.Lads this is honestly one of the best shows in ireland all year with lads travelling from all round the country so show their support for working dogs
fionn 21
ill second that the terrier bitch that won show last year is a very good worker plus she won a lot of the southern shows last year she also won show in cork and same reserve dog in both shows cork show was judge by welsh lads both show were t0p class personally i think most dogmen in southern ireland are fed up with show shit winning for example the welsh game fair winners has been all workers last few years and long may it continue
