Foxgun Tom 75
Albert J's kind offer of donations seem extremely good to me! I know how hard sometimes it can be to get sponsors for a club show? That's my task at the moment for my own clubs show in May (NEILSTON WORKING DOG ASSOCIATION) Tom
littlefish 588
That sounds like a very generous offer.

AlbertJ 569
Albert J's kind offer of donations seem extremely good to me! I know how hard sometimes it can be to get sponsors for a club show? That's my task at the moment for my own clubs show in May (NEILSTON WORKING DOG ASSOCIATION) Tom I have been impressed by the interest and involvement of the enthusiasts on this forum even though some have been fairly and unfairly critical of me and our events! I admit that in spite of prodding/perstering by Seamus & Matt we have not been able to get sponsors to come in to get the Terrier & lurcher prize fund up to the level of our other events but we are working on it. Also while we spend quite a bit on sponsorship each year for worthy organisations and clubs involved in the other sports we have not put much into Terriers & Lurchers other than in the shows associated with our own events. In addition terrier & lurcher coverage in the magazine has slipped since Emma Cowan dropped out. However our new editor Paul Pringle has always kept terriers and the odd lurcher and is keen to bring pack more terrier & lurcher articles, people profiles, news and views. With our new Readers Reflections it can be quite a short article so lets have some, and some suggestions for profiles! Although we have committed a reasonablly substantial budget of support for four worthy county sports organisations for 2010 and a few gundog and fishing events and we are now organising a new show at the revamped Fair at Ballywalter, I had offered support to shows through the forum and had allocated a small budget to this. It is not all exhausted yet and I thought the charity show was worthy of at least token support. We might be able to come up with a gesture of support for our Celtic cousins - who knows we might see some of them at our shows this year! For 2011 I intend to try to seek joint sponsorship so we can extend our 'Terrier & lurcher' sponsorship budget. Alberj
