just wondering whats the best to feed my dog i give him redy break orsomething in the morning and chicken or beef mixed with some pelletts carrots onion and brown bread. and once or twice a week he gets rabbitt!

just wonering if it would be better to just give dry food all the time and the occasional rabbitt or just rabbitt all the time or is it ok just the way it is??

Never fed readybrek but suppose it's oats, leave out the milk and use water. Giving a mixture as you are is a sensible method which delivers a broad spectrum of nutrients. I use a mix of complete and cooked veg/table scraps with meat/bones a couple of times a week and the dogs do well.

i dont think giveing ur dog onion is a good idea dont think its any good for them

ive bein told that onions are bad for dogs but my dad has a book on rearing greyhounds and it suggests giving dogs onions every night with there feed and ive read elsewher that there ok

i feed breakfast ,weetabix etc, honey milk and a egg, main meal trip with some chicken ,brown bread, veg pasta, give bones once a wk ,helps clean the teeth etc,

Sorry should have read your post a little more carefully, onions can cause anaemia as can garlic as both contain a chemical called thiosulate, you would need a fair amount to cause an acute raction but if feeding every night then it could conceivably cause a sub acute anaemia.
