How to handle recoil

Recommended Posts

Hi, mate.

Altering your grip won't change the recoil. The gun will still do what it does...

Springers need a light grip so they can do what they need to do in their own way. Just let the gun rest gently in your grip so that each time you fire, the gun can recoil consistantly from shot to shot.

Lightning's don't tend to have a good fireing cycle, they tend to bounce and twang their way worse than most springers. I fitted a gas-ram to mine ages ago and while it may not have reduced the recoil, it did make the gun much easier to shoot and a lot more plesant to use. I still don't like it too much, if I'm honest, I think they are very over-rated.

Good luck!

Cheers.

for the money this is what you will get, if you can learn to live with it, a good rifle that'll do the job.

Sod spending any cash on the rifle, if you are not happy move on and put a bit more dosh towards a HW90 or 95, 90 is a gas ram and the 95 is just a light serious bit of kit :drink:
