joel222 65
I have a 4 month old whippetx and everything is good and I will not be working him till he's about a year old but have been invited out lamping with a friend. Would it spoil the dog to take him along keeping him on the lead just for a walk out, or should I leave him at home? Quote Link to post

ferreter.al 22
i had this conversation with a mate of mine who has just got a saluki bull grey pup and we both agreed that its a big risk incase the pup starts yapping.the same lad has got a whippet that he has started doing more with since he lost his lamping bitch and needed a dog to work while his pup was old enough because the whippet was just a pet and a mooching dog...anuways that yaps [bANNED TEXT] it isnt running and sometimes when the rabbits his the cover it will yap and its right annoying and ruins a decent dog! hope this helps. BenBhoy 4,706
absolutely agree, dont risk it mate, the frustration of seeing but not being able to join in in what your pup will see as a game, will frustrate it so much, be yapping, pulling on lead. just take time, be plenty of working nights.
