bluebell 418
SEAN3513 thats a great post, i was born i the 60's and ever bit of it was true. but you for got about the ice on the inside of the bedroom window , and just one open fire, if you where lucky W forgot about the ice on the bedroom window LOL ,no duvets either and so many blankets and eider downs you couldnt move with the weight of them Duvets with pockets - coats spread over the top of the bedcovers for extra heat! I wore that many clothes to bed it took me all night getting dressed, remember taking a glass bottle to bed filled with hot water, next morning all you could hear was thump, thump, the bottles getting kicked out of the beds
fozzy41 9
In my local woods was a big steep grass bank. We used to get sheets of cardboard from the market skip and slide down it from top to bottom. That`s when summers were hot and long. What about playing marbles if you were lucky you would own ar win a dobber. I remember ice on the windows, before double glazing was invented, and candlewick blankets. Playing releavo and tin can locky and also cannon where you have 2 teams and you have to throw a ball at 3 clothes pegs that are stood against the wall and knock em down. I wish i could go back to those days. fozzy
