ha ha. white dog shit, aint seen that for years. the younger lads wont know about that. remember scraping chewing gum off the pavement too and making throwing star type things with 5 lollipop sticks :clapper:

forgot about the ice on the bedroom window LOL ,no duvets either and so many blankets and eider downs you couldnt move with the weight of them

 

Duvets with pockets - coats spread over the top of the bedcovers for extra heat! :clapper:

 

I wore that many clothes to bed it took me all night getting dressed, remember taking a glass bottle to bed filled

with hot water, next morning all you could hear was thump, thump, the bottles getting kicked out of the beds :laugh:

In my local woods was a big steep grass bank. We used to get sheets of cardboard from the market skip and slide down it from top to bottom. That`s when summers were hot and long. :clapper: What about playing marbles if you were lucky you would own ar win a dobber. :D I remember ice on the windows, before double glazing was invented, and candlewick blankets. :D Playing releavo and tin can locky and also cannon where you have 2 teams and you have to throw a ball at 3 clothes pegs that are stood against the wall and knock em down. I wish i could go back to those days. :cry:

half ps you could get 4 black jacks for that lol run outs ,penny up the wall striping and making bikes peg guns back in the day :thumbs:

same price mojo's and fruit salads :thumbs: and 1d (penny)arrows. Owls eyes gob stoppers,Zorro licquorice sticks, coltsfoot rock and cant remember the name of those sweets twig like roots you chewed on that went into fibres?

Brill post :clapper: :clapper: :clapper: sticking Rhubarb into a bag of sugar, and having a piece of bread in butter&sugar, sharing shoe's to school so your mates thought you had more than 1 pair, plastic sandles hated them :wallbash: went out first thing in morning, nesting, ferreting, fishing in burn's catching brownies 6" that was a monster :icon_redface: and back at night stinking of smoke lighting fires and black then try and say WHO ME? some great memory's bring back the 60s & 70s :thumbs: your kids go out now for a night out and your shiting yourself incase anything happens to them :whistling:

butter and brown sauce sandwiches.....

 

kites made from a plastic bread bag and a 5 ft long piece of string........keep running to make it fly!

 

collecting wasps, bees and ladybirds with a few pieces of grass and flowers in a jam jar with holes puched in the top to let the air in......and setting free your 'pet for the day' when your ma called you in for the night........

 

 

 

 

 

 

those were the days!

no central heating just a rayburn in the living room...me an my brothers wearing jumpers to bed no fabric conditioner back then bed time entertainment was pulling yer jumper off to watch the static flash! :clapper: ...ice on inside of windows...collecting Corona bottles to get the 10p deposit back on em!...living in ya wellies! :clapper:

takeing pop bottles back to buy ciggies going swiming in the local quarry setting fires only going home because your hungry (if no one elses mum would feed you )scrounging on tip for bikes to make good ones from bits bring back the 70s :thumbs:
