Staffords can't catch a cold

Recommended Posts

I have been trying to put a little bit of work back into my bitch to get her in some sort of decent shape now that i feel she's recouped well enough to start getting out ( after her litter ). Alot of road walking and the ball chucker round the park have started to show themselves on her fitness so i thought it was time to dig out the lamp and go for a little shine. As soon as i picked the rucksac up she was waiting by the front door, so off we went :clapper: . We got to our land and i clipped the lead on and let her pull me to the fields like normal. We got to the first field and i could feel myself starting to grin, like i was on my first ever night out :icon_redface: I flicked the lamp on and there were a few around so we worked the field and she had a couple of runs but nothing too close. At least she's getting a good run and some decent exercise i thought and we carried on :good: . A couple more runs with not much to shout about then there it was, all on it's own. Mr bugs about 100 yards from safety and only a couple of bushes near him for cover  So we walked up on it, walked some more, then some more  We got to about 20 25 yards then it was off, the chase was on :boxing: . We had already cut it off from the hedge so it went for the cover bushes, round they went once, then out towards the middle of the field and i thought that's it. But then then bug's decided it would turn round  and came straight for me. It then darted in towards the cover bushes closely followed by my bitch, then the rabbit tried to jump out the other side, but no, it didn't make it, my bitch went straight through the bush and caught it by its arse end :clapper: I could of jumped for joy, but resisted the urge  We carried on down the hill and i was just over the moon that she'd caught one. We carried on with nothing about then saw another in open play, walked up on it, the rabbit moved and she was off. It turned once toward the hedge then missed it's hole, turned back out and turned once, then again back towards cover, down the dip then chomp, in the mouth for you little rabbit, 2 bunnies in one night, i was over the moon :boogie::boogy:

Cheers lads and lass's :notworthy: It was defo a night to remember, especially after not being out for a while.

Benji - Thanks for the tip mate  I dont normally run her in it because i'd be worried about rubbing too but when getting her into shape i personally prefer for her to pull me in the harness rather than in her collar.
