benhunter 1
Hi all, Having just had my Whisky Moment, I thought I should just share a bit of joy. As members I have spoken to know, I am pretty new to stalking and today shot my first Roe, two lovely does, within 30 seconds of each other and happily both were dead where they fell and recovered easily. Why are Roe so special? I dont know, but they are and I have waited a little while for it. I know it felt pretty special on the way home, which is why after getting them into a friend's chiller, there had to be a Whisky Moment - well three to be precise... It hasn't been a bad week, on Tuesday I managed to shoot three good muntjac, and with the two Roe today, that is five out of the eleven deer I have ever shot (I started last year with a CWD, then Muntjac, then a muntjac and two fallow, then a fallow, then the three muntjac from tuesday and the two roe from today). If you can excuse my excitement, which i hope doesn't come across in the wrong way, I guess all I want to say is, to beginners like me, I think we all know how it feels. To hardened old stalkers, I hope it still feels the same - sometimes at least. What a great day...! Ben PS. Sorry, no pics, do you know how crap I-phones are at taking pictures? 1 Quote Link to post
