A COMPETITION FOR AIR GUNNERS

Hi every one

Nathan one of my landowners who I rid vermin for, who is a very nice bloke!

Would like to raise some money to contribute towards to build a church in Botswana.

And has come up with the idea! Of having an air gun competition he has asked me to ask,

if any of you would be interested in taking part!

To help raise some money to build the church. And I thought what a good worthy cause!

He is going to use the land where I shoot, which is in Swindon Wiltshire.

I hope some of you would like to take part; also it would be nice to put a face to a name! And to all who came to the august 09 meet I held, it would be good to see ya’s again.

I will know more when he rings me this week end for a chat! sorry its short but thats all i know for now!

i reckon its about 220 miles from us yah gonna have to get yah thumb into training,,mind you its in august so loadsa time to save some gas money an more important beer tokens :drink:,,BTW the 400 is back on song now

Hi,

Just thought I'd quickly introduce myslef and answer a couple of questions myself rather than going through Davy.

I'm Nathan (obviously!) and I'm currently involved with a fund raising project at my church to build a church in Botswana. We have connections with a missionary organisation working there who are in desperate need of a building. As well as running the church the missionary organisation also run the local school - they have nearly 300 students and only one teacher. The money we are aiming to raise this year will be spent equally between building a permanent church building in Seronga and equipping the school with new equipment such as text books, exercise books, stationery etc and to help train new teachers. I appreciate that not everybody shares my faith, but hopefully we can all share in helping people far worse off than ourselves and really enjoying ourselves while we are doing it!

And don't worry Andyfr1968, we have a very well refrigerated font!!

 

At the moment I am planning to hold the competition in mid March so keep your diaries free and I will let you know more details once they are finalised.

I'd be quite happy to attend mate providing I can get some guys to share fuel costs. Swindon is about 5 1/2 hours straight from me so if I can get the time and fill the car i'm up for it

see i upset someone by asking why botswana, sorry i didnt mean to at all. it just baffels me why we send so much money abroad when we have so many problems here in england. didnt mean any offense toward the function. it sounds like a lot of fun, if i had any confidence that i could be anywhere near good enough id go for it but i think id just be a joke! anyway like i said apologies if i caused any distress, wasnt my intention cheers tom
