Best spring for a Lightning .22

As above, whats the best type of spring for a BSA Lightning .22.

 

I know Gas rams are good, but what about springs?

i have a gas ram in my old lighting xl which made it very powerful and noisy. i can sell it to you if you want.

Its states that teh tuning kits are 12 ft pound.

so that a fac.

but still no lightning upgrade either.

I think when it says 12ft pounds it means slightly under. After all a lot of rifles are sold as being 12ft pounds but are actually about 11.5 depending on pellets.

hi mate there nothing wrong with the bsa ones if looked after etc i got mine tuned up and the gunsmith preferred the bsa springs and he just cleaned and polished everything out and changed seals etc and it shoots really well and smooth

Im new to all this, had air rifles years ago, just a bit different now.

So is a v mach tuning kit just a spring?

Also how much are the bsa springs, are they easy to install.

any help appreciated.
