Looking for advice as to the best shot load 12g for pigeons

New to this so any advice welcome

i use cheap 30g no6s mate,seem do do the job well enough,tried more expensive ones dont seem to throw the same /good enough pattern,in my particular gun anyway

or 32g no7's.......plenty of choice, what gun are you using ???

i use 32g 7's or if the birds are coming in high switch to 6's

Got a Zafer Sporter mc and Iv set the chokes at 1/2 and 3/4.

 

its OK and set OK for Magnum steel

 

ANy other suggestions great

I use 30g No 6's Gamebore Clear Pigeon mostly. 28g No 7 1/2's work at closer range if they're decoying in well.

anything that goes bang , ive been using ely first 28 7 1/2 but am currently trying 30 5's

 

ones i really like are kent velocitys 30 6's

Gamebore clear pigeon 30g No.6 for me everytime. But must say that I am currently using Hull cartridge loaded 28g paper cases that were given to me, and if money was no object I would use these all the time, suit my AYA Yeomen down to the ground.

Ha nearly converted you to the light loads

Have to agree tho anything cheap that goes bang, we are getting ripped off with cartridge prices big time!!

 

Up to £200 / 1000 its a con!

 

Try to find a shooting ground with end of line 28 7's saw some at £125 / 1000
