A spot of lamping.

Now then airgunners, not posted for a while due to not having a story to go with the shooting Well, I've just got in from a bit of airgun lamping, I'd noticed a few rabbits sitting on a verg next to an old de-commissioned road that borders my nearest permission, it was cut off when the new road was straightened, but they had to leave the road due to it being an access road to a house, the problem with this piece of land is that folk walk their dogs on the verg because its out the way, they can park there cars there and walk their dogs up the road and back, and they dont have to pick up the dog s**t So this makes it a sensetive area, one that takes a bit of extra care to nab the rabbits on I would ferret it, but like I say, there's just to many folk using it, and I like to go unnoticed if I can So I decided to lamp the verg late on after everyone had gone to bed. So here I am, HW100T poking out of the window of my car, WHACK! good bye red eyes Number one chalked up. So picked up and cobbed into the boot, and I'm off again. Number two was a squatter laid in some longish grass, it kept popping its head up to swallow a mouth full of grass and head down again to grab another mouthfull, so the only option was to give it the pursed lips job, up it came, WHACK! and back down again, only this time it was staying down, number two was in the boot It was starting to look like a really good night was on the cards, and then, oh f**k! Blues n two's in my rear veiw mirror I could see the rabbits scarpering into the hedge, I wanted to cry So I parked up and got out the car to see what our excellent police force wanted. So here we are, with all my documents on my bonnet held down with phones, bags of pellet and what ever else I had in my pockets Satisfied that I was on the level, they started to talk about my gun, so being the cooperative sort, I got the gun out to show them, with in minutes the coppers were shooting coke cans in the hedge bottom So all sorted, they left me in peace to get on with whacking a few bunnies. So back in the car, lights on full beam, not one rabbit it sight So a snack was called for I gave it half a hour, and set off up the road, got right to the end, and one rabbit sat on its todd where thirty minutes ago there were at least five

So beam on, trigger squeazed, WHACK! And its the end of the road for this bunny, pardon the pun So what could have been my best whacking frenzy for ages, turned out to be three, but hey! at least I know where they are for next time

what a good write up matey and these nothing worse than another car tipping up when ur out shooting rabbit even though it was the police but it could have been worse and you still ended up with 3 rabbits not 3 hours in a cell ! but really good shooting though buddy and yeah your [bANNED TEXT] it aint often you do a write up is it matey but hey when you do you do it in style buddy even with the flashing lights going so to speak

I have to admit, the police were fine with me, it was a bit tense at first when I said I was shooting, then it chilled out, I thought I was in deep when they saw the gun just resting on the pasenger seat, not in the slip, but nothing was said

I was happy with the outcome with the police, although the few times I have had a pull they have always been ok, think its down to way you treat them first

i also was pulled over last week at the hotel,trying to get some NV scopecam footage for ya, but to foggy so had to come home.but as i was leavin they pulled me over under a bridge. armed responce and all but once i explained what i was doing and showed them the paper work they were fine!

 

 

but they didnt treat me like Mc Lovin though

Got stopped meself in October with the rimmy,the first time in 5yrs shooting on my land.The copper was sound he was a shooter/ferreter himself.If your all legal & nothing to hide it's no problem apart from flashing blue's scaring the rabbits off Oh,good shooting S1 by the way
