Quick vixen

Recommended Posts

Headed out earlier to kill an hour and test how my lamp was working. Even in the car I wasn't full sure where I should go to. Decided to go up the hill and try a stand above the local wood. After parking up, I climbed part way up the hill to a nice look put spot. There was a small moon out but it was behind the hill, the wind was perfect for me.

I hadn't been there all but five minutes when I spied a pair of foxy eyes sauntering up the field above the wood. I gave the rabbit squeal a go and my fox started bouncing nicely towards me until she reached the fence. Coming through the fence and across the road she changed direction to head downwind of me. No problem as I had given her lots of open space to do this.

I extended the bipod to it's full 9 inches, clipped the lamp to the scope and got down for the shot. "Arf!"

Foxy stops broadside and looks up at me. I'm shooting down into the bog so take aim for the heart/lung area and send another fox to the happy hunting ground in the sky. A vixen, bit smaller type of a fox than I've been getting recently. I never did range the shot, will correct it another time.

Thanks guys!

Definitely the deer Ray :D Might have to put him on ice for this season yet, I'm not sure, if I can get down I'll let you know. When does the season close again :icon_redface: I'm looking forward to stalking, never done it as you know, half terrified I'll like it, more money :icon_eek:

Snap, I'm gonna put that down to cabin fever and forgive ya, lol
