Naw mate, id be out looking for work. Some of us have morals. FTB Very noble of you. I have morals too, but unfortunately my kids can't live on them... What have you paid into the system over your working life? You've paid got knows how much into 'the system', not just income tax, fags, beer, petrol, clothes, shoes, food, etc, it's all taxable, and your morals would stop you asking for some of it back in a time of need?? All you have to do is turn into a JUNKIE or DRINK and you get everything thats going, the fcuker's next to me even get £17 allowance a week to feed there DOG and its out in the streets 24/7 in all weather and the woman LOL of the house is a baby making machine, she has had 6 taken from her and still has 3 in the house, what a life to be a junkie/drunk ps i think they own a taxi firm or sell drugs

People don't realise, but the decision makers don't actually read the applications, they just speed read them looking for certain words that will disallow a claim. The problem is that certain groups of people who have abused the system since leaving school get wise to this and know exactly what to write...
Alan108 0
Disability Living Allowance is not means tested - so yes, you can work and still get the payment, if you are fit enough to do so. It is meant to cover the expenses which are often greater for disabled people than for the able bodied (and trust me - some of those expenses you won't have even thought of). "Motability" - the system which provides a car for disabled people, can only be accessed if you are in receipt of the higher rate of the "mobility" component of Disability Living Allowance. You do not receive that component of the benefit AND the car - the benefit pays for the car, it's either/or. You may still receive the "care" component of Disability Living Allowance if you are entitled to it. The recipient of the benefit makes that choice when the benefit is granted. If you have a Motability car/receive higher rate "mobility" component you are also entitled to free car tax. But Disability Living Allowance itself is separately assessed from any other benefit (pension/pension credit/income support/jobseeker's allowance/housing benefit or whatever). There are plenty of places online where you can do a "benefit check" to see what you or your family members are entitled to, and plenty of organisations who will help you or them make a claim. "Paying tax to help the weak" is supposed to be the mark of a civilised society, isn't it? Inevitably some will take advantage and slip through, gaining what they shouldn't, and others will find it hard to get what they need but on the whole it is a necessary system. Claiming benefit is no picnic, and neither is living on it, for most people. I worked all my life until I got sick. If I had the choice between still working now, being fit and healthy; or claiming benefit, I'd take the fit and healthy any day. I agree 100% with this poster, I had a massive heart attack in 1993 at the age of 47,having worked up till then,I was told by the specialists that it would be unadvisable to try and work again,in 1994 I had quad by-pass surgery, but, 8 days after I had another heart attack.I was advised to apply for DLA (Disability Living Allowance) but, was turned down 6 times, even though I had the proof of my condition,I finally got the dla awarded,but,18 months afterwards,I was visited by a doctor to "test" me,and 1 week after I was threatened with court for defrauding the agency.I took it to a tribunal with a solicitor and all the medical paper work from the specialist at Guys hospital winning the case, and receiving an apology from the agency.Since then,I've had 6 angioplastys,4 stents inserted and 2 years ago had another heart attack.I receive £112 per week in incapacity benefit, and £19 per week in DLA. THAT'S ALL. I would sooner be out working and earning a wage.It aint easy trying to get by on benefits, but,I agree that some seem to get a massive amount of benefits somehow. It's been said by different charities that there is more UNCLAIMED benefits then there is fraudulently being claimed. The whole system needs a radical shake-up. FightTheBan 1,147
Alan you are 100% correct. My gran has a serious health condition, a very honest woman who has worked all her life. She decided to apply for some sort of benefit and was turned down, it has put her off ever applying again. If you know how to work the system you can milk it for all its worth, makes me fckin sick. Honest people are not rewarded in this day and age, if you do well you are penalised (high taxes), if you stay married you get nothing. As soon as you split up, become a drunk or junkie you get everything handed on a plate. Who says labour is for the working man, its for the lazy scum that should be shot at birth. If you decide to become a drunk or junkie you should get fck all, tough titty, you made your bed now lie in it. FTB
Alan108 0
Fight The Ban. you are so correct in what you say.A few years ago my father was in hospital 20 miles away and I was on benefits, so when I visited him in hospital I decided to claim my travelling expenses back, but, was told that I couldn't.BUT,if he had been in PRISON I could!!! What a crazy way to treat people! Alan
poacher3161 1,766
Lets not forget all the immagrants who come here with incureable diseases that claim incapacity benefits.I would personally would not give a penny to these people as well as all the alkys and druggies.I was on incapacity benefit 5 years ago due to an accident wile working scaffolding thats now left me on pain killers the rest of my life.I got kicked off it because some one reported me to the DWP for walking my dogs wich i was managing to do despite being in pain they said if i could manage to walk my dogs their was some type of work i could do i agree to a certain exstent but why dont they stop smack heads benefits [bANNED TEXT] they rob and mug to fund their habit answer IMHO is the crime rate would go up so its easier to pay them high benefits

rob.i 26
What a load of nonsense gets posted about benefits I unfortunately had to claim once due to accident It was a minefield even had to go to a dss main office to be examined by a doctor to see how bad I was. I had actually broke my neck but they gave me a proper examination and the pain was horrendous I claimed about £60 a week I couldnt claim any more no matter which avenue I went down and dont think it was easy living on benefits it wasnt those who are spouting the shite should try it once theyll soon change their minds
