mushroom 12,920
DLA = disability living allowance. My mate's bird used to get it and I told the silly cow needed to get a life and job. She got a job and the benefit carried on Both my parents have disabilities and both worked all their days, paid their mortgage, into a pension etc. Do they get a break from the gov no they have have to pay the same council tax etc as everyone else. They don't get much help, I think they get motability and that's it. How can this government justify keeping this lazy bitch in fags and booze with 2 and a half bags of sand a month fuuck it The next time my mrs gets pregnant I'm going to encourage her to drink and smoke heavily then feed her wizz see if I can't destroy my unborn babies life by making it "Disabled" or give it "ADHD" and get the benefits that go with it. Malt 379
You forgot to add the £500 odd quid a month she'd get in housing benefit on top of that lot. It's not as easy as people think to get on the sick these days, I've got osteoarthritis in both knees with pages and pages of medical evidence to back it up, but I still had to fight tooth and nail to get the basic rate at a tribunal. I had to give up my business as a self employed plasterer 2 years ago due to it, and despite having worked (and worked bloody hard) for the previous 10, they still wouldn't give me the full incapacity rate. However, I get as sick as the next man when I hear about local drug addicts, bone idle layabouts and alcoholics boasting about the town about how much they get, attendance allowance, DLA, incapacity, etc, knowing how hard it is for a person with genuine medical medical problems to get anything. They treat every case as a chancers case, and unfortunately those who know the system know how to get the most out of it, regardless of their actual status.

Ratreeper 441
stories like this seem to never end, i can name a few examples. I have always worked, but i lost my job before xmas and got no help. Luckily i got a job this week in the 2 months without i have had to sell my belongings to cover my rent. Which is probably how it should be for everyone, to actually haveincentive to get working. Why i we all pay tax just to protect the weak, stupid and lazy is beyond me. I will vote for any government that has common sense....shames its about as common as a working miniority
