Guest LAHOSH
I saw a dog once [1992 I think] that had been in Ireland and was told he was a son of Stormer and his name was Simon when I asked if he was any good, I was told if he was any good he would have stayed in Ireland. He was sold to a lad in the yorkshire area, he was advertised at stud in the country mans weekly. Workers I right Edited October 8, 2006 by LAHOSH Quote Link to post
nuv 2
A bit like the 'Foxfinn' Border that's constantly advertised in there. Quote Link to post
chris hickling 14
Alright lads i love this a good old chat about dogs, its great, i will answer the best i can with me being just a thick terrier man that likes digging,no hard feeling lads just a good chat. Red Rock- thats [bANNED TEXT] mate red n white dog split half face,a man called Paul had it up yorkshire. He put the dog out on loan to some lads down London way. They were digging with the dog and got a pull round at the house and the gestapo took the dog away. Stormer and vixen bred. That litter was the last bred out of the dog. I never dug to this dog so dont know how good it was. Ken did say it let the man down in Ireland and thats why it came back. I know a man who had Simons son and by f**k that dog could dig. Sadly no longer around anymore. Lahosh- A mate of mine in hunt service had out on loan 4 of Chapmans terriers and sent them back after three days as not one of them worth its salt. Totally agree with you mate, a lot of these people like Chapman with white dogs are in it just for the money but the same can be said about the coloured terriers of today. That is down to the individuals and people that dont care or understand about breeding and how terrier lines are bred. They just see £ signs instead of an animal they can go and dig with and enjoy many happy hours with. Samba- Stormer was out of a dog called Blondie dont ask anymore cos you still not know f**k all. Already said Flint was bred by Kenny James. There are too many men in this game ready to claim somebody elses breeding-not a new thing, its been going on for years. Ive seen pedigrees of dogs that have been sent abroad where the names are all mixed up and in the wrong places-people fabricating breedings. Like ive already said this is all down to £ signs. Hope this dont offend anyone but fact is fact. You keep and breed what type of terrier you like and what works for you. Each to his own. If we were all the same the world would be dead boring. Good hunting and deep digging! Chris Quote Link to post

chris hickling 14
Yes Chris thats the dog, I heard the dog was taken of the lad. Though Chris if the dog spewed in Ireland why sell it on. got told the dog came back and after abit he was tried again and the dog dug his stuff, and from what i have been told kept doing it , but what you have to think about was it dug to once a week once a month once every 6 weeks , i dont know, you take a man at his word until you see it with your own eyes, have judged enter class at shows and the bullshit people tell you , its just unreal, i look at them and think bullshiter and get on to the next 1, sort the wheat from the chaff. What will do for one man wont do for another. Thats all i can say. Cheers Chris Quote Link to post

axle 63
I've just bought a pup out of those lines, very show oriented these days but apparently great workers not to far back, so i hope with a little patience and letting her watch a few black dogs work, she should get the idea.
