stormrider8 59
Do many people feed venison to there dogs? iv been feeding mine a lot of veison lately and was wondering what the best way to give it to them. The whip in at a local hunt once told me not to give it to them as he said its to rich and they will scour like feck..... Cheers

J Darcy 5,871
I have never had any problems . To be honest back in the day i was feeding mine on practically all venison over the autumn and winter and they looked great on it. All raw and with the bones too. Also it gives the dogs something to do whilst in their kennel too. So its a win-win situation.
skycat 6,173
Great for dogs: very bloody meat is full of iron and B vitamins; the only thing I add is a bit of lamb or beef fat if the dogs are working very hard, as venison isn't that fatty.
