gonetoearth 5,144 Posted January 21, 2010 Report Share Posted January 21, 2010 traditional that is because the last time west ham won anything was around 20 years ago o no my mistake you did win the championship play offs a few years ago and we wont go into the amount of money you owe lol I could ask what club you follow and pick holes in them....but i wont.....what i will do is tell you how it works down here......we are not a big club and never have been....what we have is a massive following of LOYAL and PROUD fans who take great pride in the fact that most of these " big " teams are based on players brought up by West Ham who without doubt have had the most succesful academy of young english players....in England !....there are 2 things english boys are brought up on in this area and thats fighting and football...the tradition and history behind this club is the reason we get respect from every away ground we visit.....outside London that is If it was all about winning trophies 95 % of english premiership footballers might as well go into another profession !....our debt was nearly all down to the icelandics.....and personally i liked it down in the championship,it wasnt all money obssessed.....and we won occasionally YID ARMY NOTHING COMES CLOSE (good banter lol)EVEN AFTER GETTING BEAT BY A CLUB ON ITS WORST RUN FOR YEARS, HARRY THE TAX DODGER ON HIS WAY TO JAIL , PRICELESS Quote Link to post Share on other sites

I think the fact your bragging about winning the mickey mouse carling cup ( still the league cup to me )....and getting into the mickey mouse euro competition is a sign of the times down Spurs....and thats the difference....at West Ham we know we,re mid table at best....Spurs still think there a top team Lets not forget if it wasnt for West Ham england would never have won the world cup having won it virtually single handed ......we also in todays times still have the luxury of being able to both spell and pronounce most of our players names !!....unlike yous in north london. edited to add.....an arsenal fan from scunthorpe sums it up really. Tottenham actually average 9th over the years the premiership has been going including their 2 recent 5th places. West Ham average 11th....discounting our 2 years in the championship obviously.....so yes id say both teams are mid table as West Ham also had a 5th and have finished higher than spurs on 6 of the 14 occasions they have been in the division..........im getting desperate and clinging on for dear life now i agree on the silence of the gooners...but then i doubt if they speak much english !
