greatwhitehunter 47
they shouldve stopped plowing money into useless crap and invested in the new special forces masada rifle. you can change the barrel to fire different types of rounds, fully collapsable and an all round better gun! with better quality. readie 184
had the 7.67 when i was in,until the sa80 took over, useless piece of plastic crap 5.56 was never a decent killing machine.
Nik_B 3,790
From what I've heard the injuries from a 5.56 are horendous compared to the 7.62 when can wizz straight through. ANyway don't matter what gun they get, they can't stop IEDs and thats what cause the deaths over there. We simply don't lose firefights to the Taliban ever.

Stabs 3
Never used the A2 but I'm told it's a decent bit of kit. The septics have been reissuing the M14 for a bit now I believe, not just for the sneaky teams either.

SNAP SHOT 194
there where many reasons for the armies to change from 7.62 to 5.56, Studies found that it was in fact more pressuring to wound your foe rather than kill them, eating up valuable resources, Also Another reason for the change was a weight issue where the GI could carry twice as much 5.56 ammo as 7.62, most of the current armies are now looking for a better calibre to take over from the 5.56 and 7.62, the SA had a very poor reputation whenever it was launched, and they would of given there right arm at that time to change for the styer AUG.. very intresting to see what will happen down the line in the future, Snap. OH and check this out for one lucky GI.
Nik_B 3,790
My personal favorite. Insurgents video an attempt to attack an american bunker on high ground Duh! Its hard not to laugh at the camera man who's desperately trying to get away. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=29c_1217665975 Edited January 19, 2010 by Nik_B

Forget that...Automatic grenade launcher please might do a bit too much meat damage for hunting but mr Talib wont like em. Did you watch that last video by the way? Can you imagine the fear of having one or two Minimis turned on you like that? They can't of had any combat knowlege at all attacking fortified positions on high ground in day light without heavy suppressing fire. I almost felt sorry for them. Another good one I need to find was from Iraq...a guy walks out into the middle of the street with an RPG,takes a knee and get's ready to fire. Almost immediately you see tracers begin zipping through him and then he falls . As soon as he falls, a serviceman steps out from behind cover ; right across the street with a SAW. Nik_B 3,790
Yep he got zapped by a minimi as well, I'll try to find it. Normallly I owuldn't take pleasure in someone elses suffering but those wankers are just prolunging their own peoples suffering on top of trying to kill our servicemen who are there to bloody help them. On telly right this minute is a vid about some lad called Ali who lost his arms in Iraq and showing all the reabhilitation he's getting here. Where is the same film about out soldiers who've got to go through the same thing...
