Alan108 0 Posted January 19, 2010 Report Share Posted January 19, 2010 You're welcome,Bob,the wmr has an effective range for foxes up to 150 yds,and still carries a lot of energy,whereas the .17 is a lot lower.I know that there are users of the .17 who will disagree,but,check out the figures. A.17hmr at 100yds has 116ft/lbs,and a .22wmr has 155ft/lbs.As a long distance rabbit only rifle I think it takes a lot of beating. Alan Quote Link to post
