how far to walk a pup?

ive got a 3 month old lab, i just play games with him like you do with puppys but to use up some of his energy i take him for little walks round our garden (its a big one, about 2 acres in all, or hecters, ive forgotton which is the smaller) but back to the point these are 5 min stroles round the garden added on to the games. ive heard people say you shouldnt take a puppy for 'walks' so how far counts as a 'walk' for a 3 month puppy??

i'd be doing 15 min exercise with my 3 month old pup.

The general rule that I worked off was 5 mins for every month of the dogs age. So in your case 15 mins.

We're doing the same but it's just playing in the garden at the moment as he hasn't has his jabs yet.

 

Is it just once per day as well? Hardly sounds like anything as the little bugger just sleeps the rest of the day. When he goes out to go to the toilet he goes a bit mad and we cant get him back inside lol. Think we need to work on the discipline.

I'll get em up, just need someone to help so I can take them. Soon as the camera comes out he sneaks into his crate and makes it very hard to take a nice photo that doesn't resemble a picture of a guantanamo bay inmate

What your doing sounds fine, little bursts of positive play, training and a quick walk.
