nottzhunter08 898
well about 3 weeks ago i took my dog out on lamp. the next day he was hopping everywhere on 3 legs so i gave him a check over and could see there was a problem with his toe. now he walks about fine but after a little run about he starts limpng again. ive put a sock on his foot and rapped it up in a bandage and stuff. i was just wondering whether i have done the right thing? if so how long shall i leave it on. i will try and get some pics up. atb N.H
recce 2
iv had dogs with broken toes and pretty much left them to their own devices, never known it to affect my dogs performance after a good lay off from lamping they have come good, although in some extreme cases iv heard of people having the dogs toe removed, and this also has not affected the dog

collie/grey 238
If it's a broken toe brandon then 6 weeks no running at least as new bone has to form and everytime he runs it will stop fixing itself and start again. You saw jodies toe, it's still not fully healed now and she didn't run for almost 7 weeks, she still has a slight limp after a run about now. Might be an idea to rest him up till next season now, theres not much left of this one as it is.
ratattack 111
My terrier had a broken toe just before xmas, i strapped it up and took him to the vet next day and he just strapped it with some stronger bandage. been off his running around etc since then, showing no pain but if you try an touch it he pulls the foot away. Just needs time to heal properly, if it's fixed right it won't give any bother again. Try and push it an it will take longer
