well folks,dont know if this is the best place for this post bit it would be nice to here alls views on the best allround shotgun cartride for pest control but leaving charlie out of it. so pigeons,rabbits,crows ect.would like to hear the. make,weight,plastic,size fibre and price per 1000 the last time i was out i used 32 6 vilocity plastic i think they didnt like them 2 much hahaha my friend got them so dont know how much they were what alls preferences and experiences then

i use 32 6s any make realy whatever is in stock when i get some at the moment im using eley pigeon and i find them ok

same here, the 30 gm pigeon express. i think for the higher birds( flight lining) the 5's are better for me.

i use the same on pigeon,pheasant,woodcock............. only bigger for duck and geese( non lead of course).

Walking round the farms or doing a pest control round on the shoot then it's 32g 6's every time. Always keep two napier snap loaders with 52g BB's in my handwarmer pocket for special occasion though

I use Hull Sterling game 32g 6 shot in 12 guage and the same in a 20 bore (28g 6's). Very good consistent cartridge.

I have been using 7.5 @ 30gm fibre wad this year with great success.I am informed that the fibre wad spreads quicker than plastic and I have had great results on pigeon, pheasant and woodcock.Prior to this I used Express 6 @ 32gm

Yep used a few round the farm i'm doin my nvq at, and they seem to work well on everything. and i believe they do them i fibre if you prefer.

Would of also went for the 32g 6's.... however, you may have to try a few different makes... as pattern's will vary...

do you not find the 7 and a half a lack in stopping power for pigeon?

up to 25 yards ok but i often shoot( set up my decoys) at 30-45 yards and find they are hit but don't drop. i'm all for smaller shot( shock being the killer and not organ damage/penetration) but have found 7's too light for pigeon and have not used them on pheasant/ducks.

30 grm Clear Pigeon fibre wad . Faultless cartridge , I use them all the time on rabbit, pigeon, crows etc. Highly recommended. Also use 28 grm paper case (no. 6 shot) for posh days. Local gun shop name but loaded by Hull. Go well in my AYA.
