Spot on commanche, dogs do require partly digested veg matter found in the belly of a herbivore thats why dogs eat grass and vomit it up, cant digest it.

not true some dogs who are careful grazers and actually chew the grass can digest it and the same goes for veg if its blitzed up or grated then it will get digested

Some dogs why not all? Wolves had no blitzers in the wild, but yeah cooking and blitzing is the nearest to the real veg in the unwashed honey comb of tripe, still not sure of blitzed raw thou..

because all dogs are different some chew it proper and some wolf it down and as for not being sure about raw, anybody with any sense knows that vegatables lose some nutrient value when cooked

Of course cooked veg loses nutrient,as i said the nearest to digested veg found in the belly of a herbivore, but anyone that has done there homework would know that veg must go threw three digestive stages in the belly of the herbivore for the dog to completely digest it,so my common sense would tell me raw is just the first stage. Im far from an expert im just going by the experts and to be honest im ignortant to what knowledge they have.

Fair enough comment .Tis easy to be an "internet expert". So here are a couple of quotes from published Vets Eric Allan and Rowan Blogg who's Everydog series has been around a long while now and been through several International reprints .

"In the wild, the dog is pricipally a carnivore but he eats the whole prey, not just the muscle meat, and so obtains vegetable matter from the digestive tract and calcium from the bones...."

"Vegetables should be cooked to make them more digestable...Grating finely is not sufficient..."

Think you will find that wolves have no interest in the stomach contents of herbivores.

Take a look at http://rawfed.com/myths/stomachcontents.html which gives some "qualified" info.
