zini 1,939
For my air rifle mate i always use a Deben Tracer Max with a red filter and brightness control dimmer switch for my lamping. It seems to do well for me mate. Zini Quote Link to post
olim 28
I use a Clulite CB2 Clubman Deluxe Lamp Kit - Canvas with a red filter, I find it very effective where I normally shoot mainly because of its range but the bad point is it would be a pain to mount on the gun so you would probably need someone to hold it seperately, I have used an atom tracer before with my friends but find once you put a red filter on it it has a very short range, I think the effectivness of the lamp depends on where you shoot e.g. i shoot on big open fields which means i need a longer range beam, but if you shoot on smaller fields then i guess you dont need something as long range and also using different techniques like walking down the rabbit. hope this help oli Quote Link to post

bunnyboiler 1,053
That's what im asking mate dont know anything about them ? I take it long range beams are for lamping with dogs and high powered guns the shorter ones for air guns ? Thanks Quote Link to post
air gunner 0
I find a long range lamp good for spotting them then use the lower power for actual shooting. I use a 1000000 candle power jobby and spot with it then when in range have the lamp held above the rabbits head so only the eyes are visible then pop and you have your bunny. Quote Link to post
andyz 30
I have a Deben Atom, nice size and good weight on the gun. One thing to consider is battery life and how you will us it. Nothing worse than your lamp running out of juice half way through the night!!! Andy Quote Link to post
