MuttleMcTuttle 21
Have you tried using a card reader? Maybe a friend has one you could borrow to see if you can get the pics onto the PC that way? Or does the camera have a built in memory where they are hiding? If the camera is seeing the pics they should be there somewhere...
Kay 3,709
what you can do is connect the lead to the camera & usb, then click on my computer , then lok at the removable drives , i cant remember which one it will be , but your pics will load onto the drive thats for your camera Just right click the drive & open it , your photos should come up that way , you can save them from there

Kay 3,709
i dont think so as if i take the card out it says no card & i can't see the pics but i could be wrong, the camera's a canon 350D So the pics are still on the card , silly question perhaps but is the cable working ? i had a problem loading from this camera when i first got it , the pc wasnt recognising the camera but i got them off in the end using the my computer & drives way
pritch 335
the cable is fine it imported 2 pics taken on a different occasion, i was wondering whether while setting the camera up i may have altered something by mistake
MuttleMcTuttle 21
Is there a chance that you have switched to RAW setting instead of jpeg? If this is the case your PC may not be able to see them, (although it should if you have the relevant Canon software on your PC) but the camera will show the little jpeg preview on the rear screen. Another possibility is that you have accidentally changed the camera's communication settings? There should be a print/ptp or PC connect setting. I'm afraid I'm not totally familiar with the 350D, but another thought is that, if it is similar to my Canons, does it have a 2 position on/off switch? If so, it needs to be switched to the 2nd on position?
