Hi Shay buddy,

The rifle that you kindly donated me arrived today in the post mate, so thank you very much.

I got her home after a stop at the gun shop to chronograph her and see what she was pushing out.

She is pushing out 8.9FP with RWS .177 super domes at the moment buddy, even at this power quite capable of taking 20 metre corvids humanly.

Her stock has now been sanded down and re stained, the barrel has been cleaned, the trigger has been greased and she isn’t dieseling anymore.

I’m booking her in the gun smiths next week for a new spring and seals and the trigger adjusted to make her let off smoother.

I think it will only cost about £20 to get her up to 11.5FP mate and then she will be ready for her DVD staring role after a bit of range practice.

I’m sure after the work is done that I will still be able to take rabbits and corvids at 30 to 35 metres no problems with her.

I think that you will see that she looks loads better already mate.

Thanks again

Si

Bye the way, does anyone know what type of gun this is?

It has no name anywhere.

I get the feeling it’s a Chinese import but am not sure.

To tell you the truth i think it will be a really good rifle after a bit of TLC

Si

Cheers guys,

Shes my new lady so she needs to look and feel her best :whistling: .

If the gun smith takes her to 11.5 FP, I'm going to treat her to a new Webley silencer too :tongue2:

I bet within 2 weeks this little rifle is bashing plenty of vermin and filling my freezer.

No Joey,

Ive just checked that buddy.

The SMK QB58 is a underlever and this is a side lever.

I cant find any side lever SMK's either.

I need to know what it is as i cant put on my profile "The rifle with no name" LOL.

Does anyone know if these guns can be upgraded with new springs to put them at full power?

I saw a OX spring in the gun shop today and wondered if that would fit in it.

I remember as a kid everyone wanted Weihrauchs with an OX spring in.

Are they any good?

I think it is the fact its a new gun plus the fact that I don't hold it correctly. I have been given a lot of good advice on the Weihrauch forum, but it's really hit and miss (pun intended) :clapper:

When I get it right it is a deadly accurate gun, but that is only in the minority. I,ve put about 200 pellets through it if that.

Shame, as its a super rifle. I might get it tuned, but don't want to spend £150 only to find I still don't like it!

Sibaldib is my forum name.

Cheers

I defo will do Shay buddy,

I think she will be a cracker when ive finished her.

Yes Sib, i guarentee i will be smashing vermin with this rifle 100% very very soon.

I only sold my HW95K last march so dont think i have forgotten how to shoot a springer just yet pal :whistling:

Regarding the HW95K mate. Do a search for Sandwell Field Sports.

There is a man there called Tony Wall. What he doesnt know about tuning rifles isnt worth knowing buddy.

He is in my mind the guru of tuning rifles especially Weihrauchs.

His full tune is only about £45 and when the rifle comes back "WOW" it is silky smooth, tuned to the best pellet for the rifle barrel at around 11.8/11.9 FP and will out shoot most pre charged rifles with the right person shooting them.

Ive have 3 tuned rifles from him. A Spectra carbine, a HW95k and a HW97K. Fantastic rifles buddy.

My next springer that i get when ive made enough money from my DVD sales is a Tony Wall tuned HW97KT.

That rifle i guarentee will be the dogs nads.
