Tell difference in snared myxie rabbit to ok rabbit

Hi

 

I am about to start snaring for the first time ever having purchased snares from another man on this site,( much obliged by the way )

My question is I know the difference between a live mxyie rabbit and a perfect rabbit but how can you tell if they are dead in a snare ?

I would hate to give a snared myxie rabbit to someone or would it be pretty obvious when I will see it ?

Mate there the same when there dead unless the crows have had there eyes out then check for scabs more so on there backside

can you eat a rabbit that has myxie? i think i heard it was ok not sure?

anyone know or tried?

Perfectly edible, though in the later stages there doesn't tend to be much meat on them! That said, I've never fancied it, so they tend to go for ferret food or fox/crow bait.

 

To the OP, you'll soon tell if they have myxi, puffy and pussy eyes, swellings at the base of the ears.
