newgun 0
Hi all. Just thought I would be polite and introduce myself. My name is Joe, I live in Leicestershire and have recently developed a love for shooting. I've been shooting clays for a little while now but am keen to start on the real thing. I have arranged a (paid for) days shooting pigeons over rape in a couple of weeks and am looking for any advice I can get to help me with my first day on live quarry. I've bought myself some shell decoys, camo gear, 500 30g 6's, and the all importand mask. So have all the gear and no idea!! Any help or advice would be greatfully accepted. Look forward to speaking to you all in the future. Joe

newgun 0
Cheers guys. I thought it best to go for 'paid for' days at first. I dont want to go hunting for permissions localy, only to shoot nothing and look a tit in front of the farmer! This way I can learn with no pressure to perform. Just hope the weather improves considerably!
rizla1 122
when you pay for a day shooting does someone go with you and help you set up and show you were to setup and help with the pattern or do they just put you in a field and let you get on with it, just wondering
newgun 0
I had the option of a guide, but chose not to. It was an extra £50, and I've read everything available to learn about decoy patterns so thought I would try and put this into practice. The £50 will pay for another day
