gnasher16 30,216
gonna start off makin some home brew , any experts or experienced brewers out there who can give ,me some tips Yes...dont do it ! Many years ago myself and a pal made some,42 pints if i remember right....it tasted vile and needed careful chewing before swallowing  ...certainly got you pissed though.....i had a couple he had the remaining 40,i wasnt man enough for that. I dare say things have moved on since then and its all a bit less guesswork than it was then...just go easy on the sugar !

oakey 57
I normally do 40 gallons of cider plus some wine all with natural fruit from around me so i dont know about kits . If i had to give advice i would say clean everything dont think that close enough . Dont worry if its not right at first leave it it may come right .Cider will go cloudy when the apple tree comes into blossom dont know why but it does dont throw it away it will settle. Dont put cider in plastic bottles it will go off always use glass. There is a lot more to learn than this but always enjoy it and share it
RicW 67
Mate of mine always had 48 pints ready to drink Sunday. 8 pints a night, then out on the piss Saturday.
Swampy 147
If you're doing cider. Use Honey or Golden Syrup in the same quantities as sugar. Gives it a deeper colour. Also keep fekin fruit flies out of it. One fly can ruin a batch. You can however turn it into cider vinegar! rgds Swampy 1st ning of the year. HNY all!
