Pleasently surprised...

Went for a walk this morning...my 11 year old step-daughter(Caitlin)as been asking if she can tag along for a little while now,her mother says you can't take her she won't keep quiet,won't keep still etc...I was only going out to try one of my new jills so i thought i'd take her along,if anything would test somebodys liking of a bit of ferreting then going out in this weather would.Well the Lurcher found a 2 holer and proceeded to mark Put the ferret in,a few minutes passed bang rabbit in the net before me or the dog could grab it Caitlin was on it in a flash.I was well chuffed her and the ferret stepped up Had another mark up the banking ferret in same result Snow was a bit to deep to go any further so called it a day...not a bad outcome i now have a new apprentice and another ferret that is showing good signs yis John

Yeh the rabbits dont seem to be struggling to feed around my way...happy days!

Yes its great to have the young uns involved aint it...I'd let all the youngsters in the village tag along if i knew it would keep them from getting into trouble...John
