best rifle for £150 - £250

For a begginer, hopefully using it to kill rabbits, squirrels etc. Must include scope.

take a look at the for sale section's and look at the known makes such as airarms or bsa and weihrauch (springers that is ) but if you are looking to upgrade soon to pcp then go and get a smk xs19 they are well made and very accurate and you can pick one up new for £100 then get a scope for the rest of your budget as you can sell the rifle on but a good scope is a keeper

some people will say double the cost of your rifle for a scope but i tend to go with about £100 for a good allround milldot scope

Its not always a question of how much you spend. I have a Bushnell trophy which is a great little scope. The Bushnell range in general seem to be good value, Nikko-Stirling and Leupold also worth looking into. You may find its cheaper to buy a fixed mag scope as apposed to a variable. For general air gunning 4-6 mag is fine. Also you don't need huge lenses, 32 or 40mm should be fine. Whatever scope you get get good mounts, very important. Sports match are good. An arrestor block or stop pin is also a good idea.
