I'm not saying anyone should refund anyone. what I'm saying is that surely there are simple measures we could take to verify sellers. I said we, because we should pretect ourselves as well as others.

 

I say mods, because they should look into measures that are suggested and perhaps suggest their own. It has to be acknowledged though, that some unscrupulous members are ripping others off and it won't be solved by sticking heads in sand.

I always ask for their address then i know if they scam me i know where they live...You fill in the rest..

Yes it is fraud, selling copies of other peoples copyrighted work is illegal ..............

 

The lads who take the time and trouble to make the original DVD's have rights too, not to have them ripped off and sold on here.

 

It wasn't as straightforward as say buyng a coat off someone, the money was sent for dodgy DVD's, whether the lad buying them knew they were dodgy is anyones guess, but the lad selling them sure as fook did.

Darcy did say there was to be some major changes to the selling section due very soon ..i did make a suggestion to ian as to how to manage the selling section more efficiently by making it harder to post in there ..i do run a private forum which has nothing to do with hunting and i have sections where only certain members can post and see that forum ...for example if your primary interest was lurchers you would be part of the membergroup *lurchers* and couldn't see the terrier or airgun section or if your primary interest was terriers you would be part of the membergroup *terriers*and couldn't see the lurchers or airgun section ...i suggested the same thing for the selling section but with a large membership like this one here it would almost be a full time job to administer this as its an admin job only

What about all the little snides that try to get stuff for free ........... you wouldn't believe the number of people who reckon they sent the money yesterday, is there any chance I could post the gear today as they're desperate for it.

 

I'd be all for a name and shame section, but remember it's not always one sided!

 

Personally speaking I wouldn't send any money anywhere unless I knew I had a come back, like I knew someone they knew or was prepared to travel if they ripped me.

 

It's no good crying over spilt milk, if you think he ripped you, then go and set his car on fire!

Hows it going mate! Ive met crazymaken today and bought a dog off the bloke! I sent him 100 quid deposit to him 4 weeks ago and he kept the bitch for me(i have a broken foot) and even met me half way! He has been kicked off this site and doesnt know why but he said if you PM me your address i will text it to him and he will send your dvds tom!

The bloke couldnt have been more helpful and this looks like a genuine error but he says he will send them ASAP ! Hope this helps!!

Been there mate.  I too lost money to some thieving dickhead.

 

There are a lot of good honest people on here, but there are a lot of scum as well....you know who you are!!!!

 

All you'll get from the mods is, 'Should have used paypal', which quite frankly is a cowardly, clueless cop out to absolve them of any responsibility for modding their own forum correctly.

 

Mods get your finger out and do something to prevent this occuring!!!!!

i broke into a house the other night,had a couple of scouser's turn up to buy a car that wasnt mine.the daft sods gave me £200 for a photo copied log book and a dodgy key.and left the car for me to sell again ..as soon as they left we hitched up the caravan and were off up country out the way

 

on a seriuos note..dont be feckin shouting the odds about being skanked for buying dodgy dvd's.its your own bloody fault.do you think the people that make the originals are rich enough to have twats ripping there stuff in the first place.unless it was simon whiteheads then copy as many as you like....
