thinking about getting a bsa lightning air rifle are these any good?

Yes mate they are a good rifle for doing the odd bit of pest control and will account for vermin with ease.

 

Ive owned one myself in the pest and i shot plenty with it.

If you can get hold of a really good early one that's UK built, then yes they're ok.

 

All of them now are built in Spain (have been for a long time now....) and are crap. Badly built, rubbish triger, twangy as a m-f-er. Not too clever at all...

 

Take a look at Webley or HW. Far better.
