cheers mate what batteries do you recomend

My locator battery is a Duracel, and my collar batteries are from Maplins, think they were £1.99, they last a good while, and I've had no problems with anything I have bought from them, I have tried cheaper batteries, but wound up with them dying all of a sudden, which for me deffeats the object of having the locator

what collars do you have?

the mk3m collars can be switched off, and therefore left in

the mk3 collars cant, therefore you need to take them out

I normally buy half decent batteries, around £15 for 60, and then if ferreting for a weekend, take the batteries out in the evening, until the next morning

if I was leaving it until the following weekend, then Id bin them, and put new ones in on the next outing

its not what everyone will do, but theres already a post in this section on someone loosing a ferret after an hour :wallbash: because the batteries went dead

if you want to keep batteries until the last knockings, at least buy one of these so you can check them out, around a £5 from e bay
