Sloe Wine

I tried my hand at wine making for the first time this year and made sloe wine.

Bottled it last week and me and my mate shared a bottle, tasted really good, quite dry so kept you going back for more.

I think it will go especially well with venison or lamb.

 

My mate made elder berry wine and if anything that was better, very rich and smooth.

I was so impressed that i got parsnip wine fermenting in the demi-john now, which holds 6 bottles.

 

I would say to anybody give country wines a go, it's not difficult, tastes great and costs less than £1.00 a bottle to produce.

Sounds good, still got my sloe gin in the airing cupboard. Will give it another month then bottle that up

dont brew my own old boy round the corner does i take him a couple of rabbits he gives me a few bottles of red blows your socks off but dont get a hang over

True mate, mine is bloody strong too, must be 16% plus but does'nt taste like.
