I tried my hand at wine making for the first time this year and made sloe wine.

Bottled it last week and me and my mate shared a bottle, tasted really good, quite dry so kept you going back for more.

I think it will go especially well with venison or lamb.

 

My mate made elder berry wine and if anything that was better, very rich and smooth.

I was so impressed that i got parsnip wine fermenting in the demi-john now, which holds 6 bottles.

 

I would say to anybody give country wines a go, it's not difficult, tastes great and costs less than £1.00 a bottle to produce.
