advise on [BANNED TEXT] cal for my new gun

Recommended Posts

I use a .22 calibre BSA R10 mark 2 buddy and it rocks.

Best rifle by far i have ever owned and i have owned lots of them.

Both calibre are good and if your shooting is up to it will kill at great distance.

If you are good at range estimation and know about hold over and under then try the .22.

If you are not so ofay with the above then i would advise on the .177 buddy.

Pellets wise, you need to try the FX pellets as the barrels love them and put in drawing pin size groups mate.

Hi Jamie,

When you fire the R10 without a silencer fitted the gun sounds quite loud at the trigger end, but if you are down at the target end say 15 metres out to 30 the gun is very quiet.

Its like the AAS510, all the sound goes away from the target end but sounds loud at the trigger end.

If you fit a SAK silencer, (straight screw on no messing) like i have on mine it makes the gun much quieter at the trigger end.

For a experiment i fitted my HW100KT silencer on my R10 and there was no difference from the SAK as the loud part of the R10 firing cycle is the valve inside the action and not the muzzle blast.

I have fired my gun with and without a SAK and to tell you the real truth the vermin dont know any difference.

If you have seen any of my videos you will see sometimes 2 birds sitting together in a tree and ive shot 1 then the other with the R10 with and without a silencer fitted.

Great rifle though and the .22 is very accurate.
