Ideally you should have seperated them before they gave birth. My breeding cage has a seperate lid for the main run where I put the food for the mother to take, so I do not disturb the young babys for at least three weeks.

Be carefull if you spook the mother she will kill them, any dead ones from birth she will usually drag out of the sleeping compartment.

Mine had 7 couple of weeks back, she waited for me to be their before she had the first, lots of ferts will do that, or wait till another ferret is present. I could put my hand in the nest box and stroke her through the birth without any agression. Having said that they have had a couple of minute neck scratch each day from birth themselves. And when I,m working in the garage they have the run of the place which includes trying to climb over me when working on the bikes. If any one wants a kit in the north east they are free to good homes. Hob albino, JIll Brown (pole cat) Kits will be cinnoman or Silver.
