Tried 4 butchers, 1 doesn't chop his own meat, 2 said no, the 3rd success! About an hour away from me and he said i can come down every week to pick it all up, got loads more butchers to try yet and will try landywoods, see how much it all comes to. Quote Link to post

Rainmaker 7 Posted October 1, 2006 Report Share Posted October 1, 2006 Personally I'd just take in a copy of the relevant piece of EU legislation which clearly shows that the general public (private individuals) are exempt from their legal requirements. That usually does the trick, some of them just genuinely think they're not allowed. There's a letter from an MEP somewhere laying it out in plain English, I'll dig it out for you. I also got confirmation from DEFRA on this just last week. Quote Link to post
