just jack 998
recently we've had mice at home so i've put poison (rentokil off the shelf) under the kicker boards of the kitchen as the dogs are going ape when they hear anything. my problen is that when i got up this morning the kicker board has been pulled out (by the dogs) when i checked, a tub of poison had gone. i thought the dogs had ate it! and yes the black bitch did, she seems fine though. is there anything i should look out for in the bitch or should she be ok. here is a pic of the dropping (sorry) thanks jack
Guest porterlord
hope your dog is ok bud. just keep an eye on her
moxy 617
Your dog should be fine matey, Just remove any bait that is left and also the dog crap, to ensure the bitch/dogs dont eat anymore. The poison/bait is an anti coagulant, which reduces vitamin k levels within the body, this then causes internal bleeding and organ faliure, however in most cases a good level needs to be built up within the body to have a desired effect, one dose should'nt cause much bother. Get food and water down the dog and keep your eye on the urine/crap, to make sure no blood is present. And jack, next time call in a pro, you daft tight sod!!!

Guest chook
You can give her vit K to help, its what the vets would use as the antidote, normaly its given via a drip, but in cases were its only a small amount, tabs are fine, you will have to watch she dosent kncok herself, as stated it is an anti coagulant, so any bruse's or cuts could cause bleeding. ratattack 111
The dog will be fine, it would need to eat a large dose to do any serious harm. Next time use a trap. Much safer than joe public messing with poisons.
