I have just bought one or my hmr , so far so good good turret system and nice clear glass , i would reccomend it for the price anyway.

Sorry mate I missed this thread... I do have one. It's faulty, the much-vaunted customer support wasn't IMHO up to the task. Optically it's bearable for the money, but forget it in low light.

 

Saw your other thread in the stalking section. If I were going to get a scope for a deer rifle (6.5 wasn't it?) and wanted to keep the cost down - 3 options -

 

1. Leupold FX3 6x42 - normal duplex ret, going to be all you need for deer, should be OK on fox too so long as you're not shooting them in the next county

2. Burris 3-9x50 Fullfield II (I do have one of these, it's great, good build quality and excellent optics for that price(

3. A used S & B 8x56. I am giving thought to selling mine, though it's just thought at this stage, raising money for new shotgun!

 

If you're passing and want a look at either Burris or Schmidt just give me a shout. Don't have the FX3 Leupold, but do have a couple of VX-IIIs for comparison.

MTC Viper 6-24x56IRS = Excellent Scope

I had a MTC Mamba 4/16x50, it was ok, big, heavy and iffy on higher mag. Sold it and bought a Fullfield 11 from the States (ebay) absolutely cracking scope, miles better.
