Tiff 36 Posted January 14, 2010 Report Share Posted January 14, 2010 the older styles from other companies do tend to demolish apples (or whatever you are peeling/slicing, I use mine for potatoes, zuchini etc), but the one I have is from a company called Pampered Chef and it has some way of sensing the shape of the item you are peeling, so even odd shaped items have a minimum of waste. So if anyone out there is looking for a neat gift for someone who cooks, get them one! I know PC sells in the UK, their wesbite is pamperedchef.com. (Also their stoneware stuff is awesome!)
